The Tramontana S, with 60% of Spanish raw materials, is the first motorcycle entirely produced in Madrid, being one of the first motorcycles manufactured in Spain with a Spanish homologation password.

The municipality of Coslada hosts the production of a 60% electric scooter, the Tramontana S, with XNUMX% Spanish raw materials. Its creator, the brand velca, rests in the center of Quazzar Technology to give life to the first motorcycle entirely produced in Madrid being one of the first motorcycles manufactured in Spain with a Spanish homologation password.

Just a month ago they started production, so a new model leaves the center approximately every hour, creating between six and nine motorcycles a day. In about two hours a vehicle is finished.

El 125cc equivalent scooter -it can be carried with the A1 card or the three-year-old car license-, which equips the rear wheel with a 4000W motor and a removable LiFeP04 battery with a capacity of 3,2 kWh, and is capable of reaching 90 km / h and the 100 kilometers of zero emissions autonomy.

La battery is removable for easy charging at home or at work. It has a standard plug to plug into any household outlet, and a fast charge input to reach 80% of its capacity in just two hours.

The firm, which has only been in operation for a year and after a million euros of investment, expects to reach 1.200 vehicles produced this 2021. Always thanks to the majority of its national suppliers: a Sevillian company provides the connectivity devices, the hardware comes from Malaga, the trestles and irons for the chassis from Santiago de Compostela and the shock absorbers from Valencia, for example.

And this is how a zero emission scooter is born every hour:

1. Identification and chassis.

The production of the vehicle begins when the Ministry of Industry grants it a homologation password and the chassis number, which is laser engraved on the chassis. Later, in this first position, the tires, tires and brake discs are prepared.

2. Rim and motor.

In the tire machine, a rim is attached to the front wheel and the 4000W motor to the rear. Two operators prepare the front fork and the chassis with the tires; as well as the swingarm, fork and seatpost fit.

3. Pre-assembly.

The fairing parts, painted in the color requested by the customer, the indicators, taillight, trims ... are installed and the license plate bracket and the handlebar with its wiring are mounted. Thus, the structures that are then attached to the chassis are ready.

4. Box area.

The factory has three different boxes - with two operators, one on each side. The stand and the kickstand are first attached to the chassis. Subsequently, the braking system is placed on the right side, and the electrical wiring, the controller and the transformer on the left. In this step, the vehicle is completely electrified, in the absence of the battery.

5. Fairing.

Next, all the plastic fairings and previously prepared are started to be coupled. All the pieces go through 70 quality control processes identified one by one, with the printing, for reading, of what each process means.

6. Label and battery.

When the scooter is ready, the mandatory labeling must be affixed: brand and manufacture, safety for 72W vehicles and tire pressure. A battery is then assigned with the safety and warranty data. Highlight that it has a gas leak hole to prevent them from burning and / or exploding.

7. Control and DGT.

Finally, the registration of our motorcycle produced in Spain, circulation permit and technical sheet is issued. It is also checked that everything works correctly, the rear-view mirrors and the charger are placed; as well as some protective plastics to avoid friction. A new scooter is ready for pre-delivery.
